Bleach Episode 97

I haven't been keeping up with Bleach manga, not since Aizen's treachery and the new Hollow-like creatures or whathaveyou. As far as I'm aware though, this currently-running, seemingly-endless Bountou run is a filler though.

Bleach 97 is a continuation of that arc and it shows more captains getting in on the action and Seireitei becoming more clued in to the Bountou's attack. Kariya and his cronies have recruited a huge number of Kusajishi residents in their bid to destroy Seireitei as revenge for bringing them to life. Ichigo, Ishida and Ririn have met up with Ran'Tao, their creator and the woman who Kariya plans to eventually kill. Yoshino looks exactly like her, which strikes a chord in Ishida who I swear, is super into the woman. No surprise about the looks though as Yoshino was apparently probably based off Ran'Tao's essence. Mayuri-taichou discovers that he's the one who has inadvertently created an opening for the Bountou's entry into Seireitei. Ichinose Maki, Mr. I'm-no-longer-a-Shinigami faces off with Hitsugaya-Taichou and the rest of the crew soon arrive on the scene. From the previews, it seems that Maki-san will be facing off with his ex-captain, Ken-chan! The ending scenes show the Bountou and their Kusajishi minions beginning their attack on Seireitei.

And seriously, I just have to say I find Daruku supremely freaky. And oh, notice the gratuitous screenies of some Bleach bishies!;) If I had to pick (okay okay I already have), my favourite Bleach bishies are Kuchiki Byakuya and Ukitake Jyuushirou (and he has the same seiyuu as Itachi-kun too!). I have a soft spot for Nova too. In fact, I think I'm a closet Nova-Rangiku shipper. (That shot of Orihime and Chad is dodgy btw). Also featured is a screenie of the food Ran'Tao served which I'll blog further on a separate entry.

The Golden for this week was hilarious as ever. Kyouraku-taichou's hot-pink fantasies about his Nanao-chan! Hehe I think those two are a closet couple if there ever was one;)
