Harukanaru Toki No Naka DeStory 18: "The Fourth Chamberlain and Princess Akane"

This was one of the funnier eps of Haruka (and set to be one of my faves!). I found myself laughing continually. A change of pace from usual and there wasn't even a sight of Akram or mention of the search for the seals at any point! Sigh, Haruka is sadly underrated! But hey, all the more for me;)

This story centres around the fourth chamberlain and Princess Akane, as is obvious per the title. They are lovers but his parents are hesitant to accept Akane-hime into the family. She is living with her uncle's family and is generally lonely and not well treated. In fact, the uncle goes so far as to foist her off onto this old, rich priest. Akane and Akane-hime meet by chance on her way to visit Ran. Following the fourth chamberlain and the princess a while later, she and the Hachiyou with her figure out their involvement. Tomomasa reiterates when he tells of how the fourth chamberlain actually confronted him to a duel almost when he mistook the mention of Akane-dono to be his Akane. Hehe, boys in love...so cute;)

So, Akane decides to help them out! She enlists the Hachiyou and the chamberlain in a plan to capture Akane-hime on her way to the priest's house. Yorihisa is to be the thief, along with blonde demon-like Shimon. The princess is to make her getaway with the chamberlain with the help of Inori while Tenma and Eisen stand in as fakes for the chamberlain and the princess. Tomomasa provides the alibi (Kyaaa~ Can't help but be reminded of Kakashi;D But make no mistake about it, I love Tomomasa himself;) In fact, I love all my Haruka bishies) and we have our Hachiyou and miko a plan! Needless to say, they succeeded=) Takamichi tracks the people down via his rank. Yasuaki later is invited by the chamberlain's parents to foresee what happens if they accept this woman into their family. He fulfils his part of the plan by saying that they will gain great posperity and fortune in doing so. And later we see the chamberlain holding his dearly beloved's hand in his and they are happy=) They wonder who the Hachiyou are who have helped them achieve their happiness=D

Ahh... I love Haruka bishies;) And equally, I love Haruka chibis! Hehe... There was a surplus in this humorous ep=) Hilarious moments? The time serious Yorihisa is sooo affronted at having to be a thief and staking in his rep as a warrior, then later on passionately declaring he'd give it his all for Akane. Yasuaki monotonously faking the foretelling as per his onmyouji duties during his audience with the chamberlain's parents. The young chamberlain was quite funny as well, especially when all chibi-fied, he vowed to give the plan his best shot! Lol... And what i love about Haruka as well are the proverbial verses they give at the end of an ep (hence I love it when they sub it!=D), in time with the gorgeous opening melody of the end. This one was really sweet...
